Who We Are We are a church family that knows that everyone should know and experience the amazing love of God. It is our desire to share this incredible love with 1)our precious families we live with 2)everyone that steps through the doors of our church 3)everyone that we come in contact with in our daily lives, in the community. We are the hands and feet of Christ to the world. We exist to reflect Jesus in a broken world. If you are in need of hope, need a place to worship, to belong, or are looking for a church home, we, at Gates of Praise, have been waiting for you! The Great Commission Matthew 28:16-20 (NLT) 16)Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17)When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted! 18)Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.19)Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[a] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20)Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” The Greatest Commandment Matthew 22:34-40 (NLT) 34)But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they met together to question him again. 35)One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question: 36)“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” 37)Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’[a] 38)This is the first and greatest commandment. 39)A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40)The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” |
